Lem Pratt

Lem plays rhythm guitar and is the lead singer for Texas Prairie Wind. His "Cowboy-Billy-Music" has been described as "The charm of Roy Rogers, and the grit of John Wayne".

 

​In the early 1980's Lem began he professional music career when he was hired by  the Will Chaney Band to play lead guitar on a 45 record, and later joined the band.  He went on to co-found the Fender Benders country band which lead to a guest appearance with former Texas Playboy Cotton Roberts, and later co-founded the country band Hard Road, which ran for 30 years producing two top 10 hits, "This Town" and "Just Take It...". Both songs aired on radio stations throughout the U.S.  ​​In 1998 Lem was a guest performer for the Western Music Association at the Old Tucson Movie Studios in Tucson, AZ.

 

Lem spent 37 years as a lawman, 21 of those years with national and state as a commissioned park ranger patrolling the backcountry performing rescues, fighting wildfires, riding boundary line, hunting down poachers, and singing to park visitors.  He found time to help out local ranchers with fence lines, cattle drives, and working livestock.​ It wasn't long before he was known as "Ranger Lem".

Terry Green

​Terry Green plays lead guitar and mandolin with Texas Prairie Wind.  He has a long history in  Bluegrass, Texas Country and Western Music, performing in several successful bands over the last 35 years playing guitar, mandolin and bass. Terry also performed with a barber shop quartet, and is the long standing member of the Triple Cross Cowboy Church Band. 

 

The Lord has blessed him with 6 children and 16 grandchildren.

Scott Gryder (AKA Rawhide)

Scott Gryder is a true cowboy bass player for Texas Prairie Wind who brings a comical wit! Scott grew up in a ranching family, learning to ride and rope at an early age.  He is the owner of the Hood County, Texas "Diamond G Ranch", and has over 35 years experience in the Texas livestock industry raising horses and longhorns with his wife and kids. 

 

He is a founding member of the Triple Cross Cowboy Church and enjoys bringing a smile to others.
